Star Trek

USS Hyperion

Welcome to the USS Hyperion!

Current Sim Year: 2388

The year is 2388. The Federation is struggling to find itself and bring order back to a turbulent galaxy after the attack on Mars and the loss of the Romulan Star Empire and Starfleet is stretched thin after decades of war and strife.

As the Federation pulls in on itself more and more factions within the Federation make themselves know. Advocates for the 'old ways' of wild west exploration, advocates of isolationism and xenophobia, advocates of remaining on war footing, eager to combat the next threat. Some simply seek a return to what the feel Starfleet and the Federation truly should be: a peacekeeping force to seek out new life and new civilizations.

Never before has the Alpha Quadrant faced such strife without there being a singular emery to rally against. As a 'symbol of the power of Starfleet and the Federation' the Hyperion is assigned to the core systemx to keep the peace and plant the flag of the Federation when and where it is needed.

Mars is burning. Romulas and Remus are but rubble. Old enemy's long thought vanquished are making themselves known. Political machinations fill Starfleet Command. They say how you view the world is a matter of perspective. Good and evil depend on who you ask. What will your story be in the new era? What perspective does one person in a galaxy of millions bring to the table? Join us as we begin 'The Road to 2399'.

Star Trek is entering a new era where rich, character driven, storytelling is the norm. Join us as explore this bold, new, era of Star Trek.

» General Updates

Posted on Sun May 10th, 2020 @ 4:32pm by Captain Anna Caldwell in General News

Hello All!

A few general updates. The first is that I am now the TFXO for Task Force 72. What does this change for us? Nothing really. My Flag character, Commodore Basmanoff and her ship the Inverness, may show up from time to time since the Hyperion is in 72 and we might dabble a bit more in 72's cannon from time to time, but, overall it does not change much in terms of the next 3 or so missions that will get us up to 2399.

The next is that I have, sadly, had to prune the manifest a little bit. I have removed a few members who had not logged in for over a month. I have not opened up those positions yet just in case they want to come back to us, but, since none of the characters took part in the slipstream JP, we can assume they did not come with us and had been reassigned before we left.

I will be updating the mission notes later today as we move to the back end of the mission. These first few mission were designed to be shorter in nature and we will move though them fairly quickly; in fact mission two will like take all of 2 or so weeks once we start it. This way we get to 2399 pretty quick and play around in that timeline more (Spoiler: Prepare for much fun with Cardassians :P)

Lastly, I will be updating a few things on the website over the next few days so if you see some odd text or chunks of text missing, it's because I am tinkering with it.

» Updated JP

Posted on Wed Apr 29th, 2020 @ 12:58am by Captain Anna Caldwell in General News

Hello All,

I have updated the JP that really kicks the mission off. There is quite a bit, but, once everyone answered their tags we'll only have 1 more update before it'll be ready to post and we'll really get things moving. There are some tags that have slightly specifics notes; this is more for plot than anything. I like to let everyone use their writing skills as they see fit, but, something the plot needs to have certain points hit to move things along.

I'm excited to get things rolling!

» Departure JP

Hello all!

I have started the departure JP with everyone. Even if you are not senior staff, I have looped you in so you can add your perspective even if you are not on the bridge. Everyone can feel free to keep doing their own posts about getting ready, etc, until the JP is done and out.

I will also be updating the mission notes today.

» Bravo Fleet Website

Posted on Fri Apr 24th, 2020 @ 6:45pm by Captain Anna Caldwell in General News

Hello All,

The Bravo Fleet website will be having some maintenance done this evening at 7PM Eastern US time and you will not be able to log in to the BFMS. This should not have any effect on our website and most people don't log into the BFMS often, but just a heads up!

As a side note, if you have not added your character to the BFMS and assigned it to the Hyperion, please do so as soon as you can. When I submit a monthly report the BFMS is where it pulls the manifest from.
